this week has been crazy. my companion is named elder Hansen and he is from tooele. he is super cool and is going to Santa Cruz Bolivia too. in fact so is my whole district (except for an hermana and two elders.) today i had the opportunity to go to the mexico city temple. it was a super cool experience and really helped me remember that this is the same church i have been going to for my whole life. a lot of things are different here in mexico, for breakfast they always serve lunch food and there is always a ton. and is always really hot, except for when it is raining IE. right now.
every morning i wake up at 6:30 and get ready and then breakfast and then it is classes until lunch and then more classes until dinner and then a few more classes until 9:00 when i go back to my room and cool down for an hour and a half and then it is time to go to bed. here in mexico it is always so hot and we cant even sleep with sheets on top of us. i got the package you sent mom, and yes it had a note on it. i actually got a note from both of my moms this week and i would like to thank both of you. mom your not about being missed really made me feel loved and that even though the first three days felt like nine (we decided in between each meal was a day) it would be worth all the confused looks i give people when they try to talk to me in Spanish. and mom #2 your letter about sticking it out really helped me realize that i have done some really hard things in my life, and that i can keep doing hard things even when the only reward is the holy ghost telling me good job.
My Spanish is coming super fast, but it is taking a lot of effort on my part. they are really pressuring us to ask for the gift of tongues and are having us set super high goals for our selves. i enjoy it though and i am trying my best to pray in Spanish and to use Spanish whenever i can.
i love you all, i will try to respond to specific people today, but i might not have time.
these palm trees are stressing me out, and i want to climb one really bad.
there are really pretty flowers here(i will take some more pictures later.) and the grass is different... like super squishy and not like Utah grass.
the temple has super cool Aztec looking designs on it and i will get to go again in two weeks.
